I am an incoming Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership at Georgia State University, in the Department of College of Education and Human Development. Prior to that, I was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Education. I use mixed and qualitative research methods to illuminate how Black leaders and educators create affirming learning environments for Black students. I earned my Ph.D. in English (Literacy) Education and Educational Leadership and Policy from Columbia University as a Provost Doctoral Fellow.
