I am an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership in the Department of Educational Policy Studies at Georgia State University. Prior to that, I was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Education. I use mixed and qualitative research methods to illuminate (1) Data-Informed Leadership and Communities of Practice: How education leaders use educational data and collective professional learning to inform policy, organizational change, and school improvement; and (2) Community-Engaged District Leadership: How education leaders engage families and communities in educational policy development, decision-making, and implementation. I earned my Ph.D. in English (Literacy) Education and Educational Leadership and Policy from Columbia University as a Provost Doctoral Fellow.
